My story, and a peek into my life!

Born, raised and rooted in the beautifully diverse PNW, I am first a mother, and lover of animals and earth. I seek to see beauty in everything, even the most mundane or grey. . . Maybe that is the Washingtonian in me!

I am an internationally award winning and featured photographer, home-grown from a lover of light and imagery.

I began my journey into photography truly, as a child. My first experience with a camera was a 35mm film Nikon my mother sent me with on a field-trip to the coast in the 5th grade because of my interest in the photography my mother religiously documented of our childhood. (Note to mamas-always foster your children’s’ healthy interests! You never know what might fulfill their soul for life!) My very first opportunity at a chunk of money was as a young teen, and I earned it through the FFA and raising my very own show lamb. I finally was able to purchase my own camera at 15 years old. It was a beloved hobby from that moment forward, and I took endless photographs and explored all types of photography for many years.

My “Why’

I had always dreamt of being a newborn photographer, it was a type of photography that I NEVER got bored of. I could always scroll for hours in professional styled newborn galleries admiring the beauty of a new baby in a delicately styled photoshoot Years back, I decided I wanted to focus on newborns as my primary, and my partner and I also began trying to have a baby. Our journey into parenthood was a difficult 5 years, and included multiple devastating losses. Then a miracle happened when we least expected it, and we met our very own rainbow baby.

Becoming a mother changed my life, in all the very best ways. It gave me purpose, and taught me the paramount importance of capturing the the journey in real time, while its happening, in a way you can treasure forever- with photographs. It cemented everything I had always believed about the importance of photography, and then ten-fold more. These are the very moments your life changes before your eyes. These are moments that will be treasured not only by you as your child grows, but your child when they are older, grandparents, and generations to come. It all happens so fast! These moments deserve to be captured timelessly with care and quality, beautifully preserving them with professional imagery.

Photography is meant to showcase the beauty of a moment in life; whether monumental or more casual, and that is exactly what I strive to provide my clients.

Maternity and Newborn photography are near and dear to my heart, and what I specialize in. However, I do not limit myself exclusively to that genre. I offer a variety of services related to photography, so feel free to inquire about any type of session you have in mind.
